ABOUT JACKIE (SPUNKY & CHILD FRIENDLY LOVEBUG) - FOSTER Woof! Hello! My name is Jackie, and I am an adorable petite lady. I have quickly become a favorite among the volunteers and staff here at the shelter. All my human friends say they love spending time with me. Hooray! Because I sure love spending time with my new human friends. :-) I walk so nicely on my leash, although every now and then I give my leash a little nibble. This is a very easy habit to correct, and I am super smart! I'm a dignified senior lady with a lower energy level, but I also have a spunky side. Yup. I do! You should see me jog or play with toys and balls. No toy lasts long with me! I also really enjoy rolling on my back in the grass, digging holes in the dirt, and sitting in the laps of my favorite people. I think I'm just the perfect mix of cuddly sweetness and fun-loving girl. I would do beautifully in a home with children, where my gentle ways and silly side would be well appreciated. One of my human friends said this about me: "Miss Jackie is an absolute doll! She is great walking, friendly and social, but also with a goofy side. She absolutely LOVES toys and is so funny when she plays with them. More than anything in the world, Jackie adores sitting in the park and watching all the people go by. She's a great dog and a total sweetheart!" I am an independent lady, so I would be quite content being left home alone while you are at work or running errands. I would be the perfect dog for any person who thinks they don't have enough time for a dog ... I don't need a ton of exercise, I am mellow and love to cuddle, I am housebroken, and I'm mostly looking for a nice, soft spot to lay my head. Maybe that place is with you? I sure hope so! I recently got to spend a three-week vacation away from the shelter in a foster home. That was so much fun! Plus, my humans learned lots of great things about me, like: * I am completely housebroken! * I am quiet when left alone (the landlord lived right above me and confirmed this!). * I don't scratch or destroy any furniture. I am very respectful. * I am crate trained. * I listen attentively to my person, am grateful for each meal (I wiggle in appreciation afterward!), and am a super house guest. * I love meeting new people! I made friends with all my neighbors, including a young child. I rolled over and showed her my belly when we were introduced! * I am a fun, funny, and sweet lady. Woot! Thanks for reading about me!
